Indian Railways to recruit about 100,000 in 2012-13

Indian Railways  one of the world’s largest employers, with over 1.3 million employees plans to recruit about 100,000 people during 2012-13 fiscal. This was communicated by Railway Minister Dinesh Trivedi while presenting the ministry’s budget to parliament.

Indian Railways, recruited about 80,000 people recruited in 2011-12.

On people front Indian Railways plans to create wellness programme for staff. These programs would be aimed at early detection of diseases arising from high blood pressure, sugar levels etc. There would be initiatives towards providing proper rest periods & better working environment for enhanced dignity.
