It is reported that Gautam Kiyawat would be joining Madison Media as Group CEO. He would be taking over the position left vacant by the exit of Punitha Arumugam. Earlier in March, it was reported that Punitha had submitted her resignation and was expected to move out by end of March 2012. There had been rumors about Punitha, heading for Google as Head of Agency & Advertiser relations.
Gautam, had joined RIM (Research in Motion), the makers of Blackberry in Jan 2012 as Senior Director marketing operations for APAC. Earlier on in his career, he has been associated with Proctor & Gamble, Philips Consumer Lifestyle, News Corp. – Star TV etc. It is interesting to note that he has been on the business side for most of his career and this would be his first move on the agency side.
