Bharti Airtel restructuring, new leadership roles & appointments.

Some more changes in Bharti Airtel, as the company gears up for improving profitability, internal efficiencies, while it looks at enhancing its subscriber base in existing and new services.

Ajai Puri, has been elevated as Director – Market Operations. He would have all the hub heads reporting to him. This is a newly created position reporting to the new CEO for India operations, Gopal Vittal.  As per the new structure the business operations has been divided into 8 hubs, from the 3 hubs in the present structure. Each hub would comprise of some circles, and the circle CEO’s would be reporting to hub CEO’s, who will all report to Ajai Puri.

Raghunath Mandava, has been elevanted as Director (Customer Experience), with a reporting to new CEO, Gopal Vittal.

Najib Khan, has been appointed as CEO for newly created Homes & Office business, as the CEO. He will be leading the Telemedia (Landline, Broadband, DTH) business , the SMB vertical and LTE & WiFi services.

K Sriniwas, would move on as Group Director – Special Projects, with a reporting to Sunil Bharti Mittal, Chairman, Bharti Airtel. Gopal Vittal, had been serving as Director – Special Projects in his second innings with Bharti Airtel.

Earlier, it had been announced that Manoj Kohli has been appointed as new Managing Director. Gopal Vittal, has been appointed as CEO for Bharti Airtel, India Operations. His appointment effective 1st March, comes post resignation of Sanjay Kapoor, as CEO for India & South Asia.
