Microsoft-owned LinkedIn, the business and employment-oriented service that operates via websites and mobile apps, announced on Monday about the acquisition California-based employee surveying company, Glint.

“We will not be disclosing the financial terms of the deal at this time.” the company said in a statement. Daniel Shapero, VP of Talent Solutions, LinkedIn, hinted that the acquisition is expected to close during the second fiscal quarter of 2019, which ends December 31.

“At LinkedIn, as a customer of Glint, we’ve experienced the value that this brings first-hand. Glint provides executives with the tools to answer questions about the health and happiness of the talent they have, while giving managers at all levels the access and insight they need to improve.” Daniel Shapero writes.

“Now imagine, through our combined offerings, that we can translate the specific feedback a manager gets from their employees on Glint into a personalized LinkedIn Learning experience focused on the topics that will help them improve, thus making the feedback much more actionable.”

Glint will not be shutting down its existing service as it integrates into LinkedIn.

Glint CEO and Founder Jim Barnett will be reporting to Daniel Shapero. All the other Glint executives will continue to report to Jim with the exception of HR, finance, information security, and legal, who will be joining the functional teams at LinkedIn.

Both LinkedIn and Glint announced the merger in websites and blogs.
