Philip Morris International Recognized for its Executive Leadership and Equal Pay Practices

PMIPhilip Morris International Inc. has earned four prestigious honors in the 2019 Golden Bridge Business and Innovation Awards®, the world’s premier “Business Awards” program honoring achievements in every industry around the world. More than 150 judges from a broad spectrum of industries participated in the 11th annual awards with their average scores determining the winners.

PMI is transforming its full value chain and placing an emphasis in fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace; and, it’s these internal efforts that have been exceptionally recognized by the Golden Bridge Business and Innovation Awards. In March of this year, PMI became the first multinational company to be certified globally for equal pay by the independent third-party EQUAL-SALARY Foundation. The company’s global EQUAL-SALARY certification confirms its commitment to equality and is an important building block on the road to creating an inclusive, gender-balanced workplace.

PMI received three Gold awards in the Human Resources Executive of the Year (Charles Bendotti, SVP of People & Culture); Milestone of The Year, Other (PMI’s global EQUAL-SALARY certification); and Achievement of the Year, Corporate Communications (PMI’s leadership in equal pay and gender balance) categories. PMI’s COO Jacek Olczak was also named Silver winner in the Maverick of the Year category. All four awards demonstrate the company’s drive and progression in achieving its vision of a smoke-free future.
