LegalKart has raised about $492,000 in a seed round

Gurugram-based legal tech startup Legalkart has raised a seed funding of around $492,000 from a clutch of angel investors. It was founded by Arvind Singhatiya, Partha Sen and Deepak Prajapati in 2018. 

According to Arvind Singhatiya, Founder and CEO, Legalkart – through this app they are looking at –  “Making every step of a legal interaction more seamless, efficient, and effective for all.” The LegalKart app enables effective practice management for legal professionals – it supports document management, scheduling of tasks, case update automation, team management, expense management, invoicing and client support.  The app allows users to assign and synchronise tasks and calendar for better productivity, and facilitates collaboration among professionals.

The company presently has 2,500 lawyers spread across 100 cities on its platform, and plans to use the funds for expanding its presence across 1,000 cities and about 25,000 lawyers. 

The angels who participated in this round include Pranay Jivrajaka (CEO of Foodpanda), Mitesh Shah (Head of Finance at BookMyShow), Sundeep Sahni (former Vice President, New Initiatives, Ola Cabs), Pallav Singh (former COO, Ola Cabs) and Sudarshan Gangrade (CEO of Lo! Foods).
