MUMBAI: Mumbai-based Welspun Group, led by BK Goenka has recently witnessed many exits at top level.
Incidentally, most of the people who left or have put in their papers have spent just a year or less than that in the $4-billion business group.
Short profile of some of the people at key positions:
Mr. Sunil Shinde — MD & CEO Welspun Projects Ltd – Mr Shinde has more than 32 years of experience, his area of expertise includes Profit Centre Head, Strategic Planning, Business Development & Project Execution. He was a mentor for Transport vertical for Roads & Bridges business in his Previous company.
Mr. Prasad Patwardhan — CFO Welspun Projects Ltd –Mr. Prasad B. Patwardhan served as the Chief Financial Officer of Itd Cementation India Ltd until April 30, 2011. Mr. Patwardhan served as the Chief Financial Officer of Welspun Projects Ltd., since May 2011. He has 21 years of experience and previously served with Gammon India Limited, Mumbai. He holds a B.Com. and a Chartered Accountant degree. His expertise includes Finance, Accounts & Taxation in the Contracting Industry.
Nilesh Dave — Senior Vice President- Human Resource at Welspun India Ltd– Previously, he was worked with Adani Group as Vice-president HR and with Arwind Mills as Head – Employee Relations.
Partho Dasgupta – President – Human Capital & General Affairs at Welspun Corp. Limited – In his 33-years of work experience, he has worked as Executive Vice President at Beiqi Foton Group – Beijing , China, Group Head HR & ER at Escorts Limited, Vice President – HR at Raymond Ltd, etc. He has studied at Xavier Institute of Social Service, Calcutta University, and Scottish Church College Calcutta.
Other top level executives of the Group, who also has exited recently are Gagan Baya – Senior vice-president group finance and Senior vice-president (talent management) Gurpriet Singh Nagpal.
