InterGlobe Aviation Limited (IndiGo) announced the appointment of Albert Saretsky as Non-Executive Director to its Board, effective October 01, 2021.
According to their exchange filing, “we hereby Inform you that the Members of the Company at the 18th Annual General Meeting held today, I.e., August 31, 2021, have passed the following resolution with requisite majority. Appointment of Mr. Gregg Albert Saretsky (DIN: 08787780) as a Non-Executive Director of the Company, liable to retire by rotation, as an Ordinary Resolution.”
“The Company had earlier informed both the stock exchanges about the appointment of Mr. Gregg Albert Saretsky as Non – Independent Non – Executive Director as Additional Director of the Company with effect from October 01, 2020,” the statement said.
An aviation industry veteran, with an illustrious career spanning over 36 years, Saretsky is presently associated with the Fort McMurray/Wood Buffalo Economic Development Corporation, Fort McMurray, ABas Director and Chairman of the Board (since June 2018) and AECARO Holding GmbH, Stuttgart, Germany as Director, Advisory Board (since October 2018) and SABRE Corporation, Dallas, Texas USA (since July 2020).
Saretsky has been the President and CEO of WestJet, Calgary, Alberta(Canada) for 8 years, from March 2010 to March 2018. Under his leadership, WestJet was awarded Trip Advisor’s Traveller’s Choice Award for “Best Airline in Canada,” “Canada’s Most Trusted Airline” from The Gustavson School of Business, and one of Canada’s “Top 3 Brands” by Canadian Business Magazine.
Prior to WestJet, Saretsky was associated with Alaska Airlines, Seattle. Washington (USA). Saretsky holds a degree in Advanced International Management from University of Alberta, Banff, Alberta. He also has an MBA – Finance and Marketing and B.Sc.- Microbiology and Biochemistry from University of British Columbia, Vancouver.
