Boston Consulting Group (BCG) India appoints Saurabh Chandra as Managing Director, according to ETCIO report.
In this new role, Chandra is expected to drive new-age strategies and enhance the global presence of the firm with technology and digital transformation.
Ex Amazon and Flipkart veteran, Chandra has recently been incubated as a board member at Southeast Asia’s E-commerce company called Sastodeal. He is a Bay area (USA) expatriate with over 2 decades of experience in managing technology and business. In his last assignment, Chandra incubated the Data Analytics and ML platform for the Indian retail & commerce business of Amazon India as Head-Engineering. He was also responsible for setting up & scaling the core tech team in India.
Chandra has worked with companies like Flipkart, Amazon, Myntra, Visa in the capacities of CTO and India Head. He brings a wealth of experience in new-gen technology including MLP, data & building internet-scale platforms.
Chandra holds 3 patents (granted), 5 patents filed & under USPTO review, 2 books published by McGraw Hill, and 5 research papers. He is an alumnus of Birla Institute of Technology & IIM Ahmedabad.
