Shetron Limited, a global supplier of Food cans, announced the appointment of Bhagyachandra Rao and Harish Hassan Visweswara to its Board of Directors, with effect from May 30, 2022.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “we hereby inform you that, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee and subject to approval of the Shareholders at the ensuing General Meeting, the Board of Directors of the Company in its Meeting held today i.e., May 25, 2022, has approved the appointments of Mr. Bhagyachandra Rao (DIN: 00211127) and Mr. Harish Hassan Visweswara (DIN: 08742808) as Additional Directors in the category of Independent Directors of the Company, with effect from May 30, 2022.”
Bhagyachandra Rao has a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Mysore University. He has deep domain expertise and understanding of business transformation, strategy, sales & marketing, supply chain, enterprise resource planning, manufacturing and technology management. He has a very good understanding of the functioning of the Board and sub-committee meetings (NRC, Risk, CSR, Stakeholder, Audit etc.) as per the Companies Act as well as the SEBI guidelines, the statement said.
He was the Executive Council member for CII Karnataka, IMTMA & ICTMA. Rao held the role of Chairman of Widia India Tooling Pvt. Limited and Independent Director of Extrude Hone India Pvt. Limited. Rao was also the Managing Director of Kennametal India Limited.
Harish H V is 4th Ranker University in Engineering and on the Honour Roll at IIM-Calcutta. He has over 30 years of experience in Finance, Banking, Investment Banking, Consulting and Strategy. He is Very active speaker and widely quoted in press and TV. He has a wide range of experience in Private and Public Sectors covering a wide range of sectors including Technology, real estate, hospitality, pharmaceuticals, engineering, petrochemicals etc, the statement said.
Harish H V was the President of Bangalore Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was also the Founder Member and on the Board of Governors, of Center for Sustainable Development and Member Board of management Studies at T A Pai Management Institute (TAPMI). Also, he was the Director at Harvard Business School Alumni Association for 5 years.
