Toyota Motor North America makes executive changes

Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) announced executive changes to its automotive operations. Bill Fay, TMNA’s SVP of Automotive Operations, will retire, after more than 38 years with the company, on September 1, 2020.

Bill Fay has held key sales positions in four TMNA ​​regional offices and senior-level roles in operations at company headquarters, including group vice president and general manager of the Toyota Division, where he was responsible for sales management, retail market development, customer satisfaction, center operations calls and marketing of the Toyota Division. In his current role, Fay is responsible for all sales and marketing functions for the Toyota and Lexus divisions.

Jack Hollis , current Group Vice President and General Manager of the Toyota Division, will be promoted to Senior Vice President of Automotive Operations for TMNA ​​effective August 31, 2020. Hollis will be responsible for leading sales, market representation, marketing and customer relations activities for the Toyota and Lexus brands, and for Puerto Rico and Mexico. Hollis will report to Bob Carter, TMNA’s executive vice president of sales.

“For nearly four decades, Bill has been an integral part of our automotive operations and has helped propel Toyota and Lexus as world-class brands admired for safety and quality,” says Carter. “We thank Bill for his leadership and countless contributions to our organization. Jack’s strong track record, deep understanding of our dealer network, and passion for customers will be core values ​​for both brands.”

David Christ , current group vice president and general manager of the Lexus Division, will replace Hollis as group vice president and general manager of the Toyota Division. Christ will be responsible for leading sales, marketing and market representation, as well as all experience and visitor retention activities for Toyota’s regional sales offices and dealers. Christ will report to Hollis.

Andrew Gilleland , current vice president of sales operations for the Toyota Division, will be promoted to group vice president and general manager of the Lexus Division. Gilleland will be responsible for all aspects of Lexus automotive operations in the United States, including sales, marketing, customer service and dealer operations. Gilleland will report to Hollis.
