Kolkata-based solar energy company, Vikram Solar recently announced that it has appointed Suman Nag as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
In his new role at Vikram Solar, Nag will be responsible for developing & implementing the commercial strategy, identifying profitable commercial opportunities to grow revenue and market share for the Company. He will drive Business Development, Topline, Branding and Marketing, the company said in a statement.
Former Chief Commercial Officer at Suzlon Group, Nag joins Vikram Solar with a rich experience of 25+ years across industries like Renewables, Automotive, and IT. He has shown cultural flexibility to conduct business in global settings and has a proven track record of creating and leading highly effective and globally diverse teams, said the company.
Prior to joining Vikram Solar, Nag was associated with Suzlon Group for more than 2 years. Prior to that, the Nagpur University alumnus was working with General Electric for about 18 years in various roles. He started his career with Mercedes Benz in 1995 as a Sales Manager.
The company said that Nag’s appointment is in accordance with the company’s vision and Core values and is aimed at taking the Vikram Solar 2.0 mission forward. The company believes that CRO’s role will be critical in achieving core business objectives, while supporting the company’s growing presence and expansion.
