All the best to Rabat for taking a herculine task of restoring Xerox Glory. Current situation is a result of self interest taking precedent over hard and critical decision affecting organisations. A person from non core industry is another attempt for setting people for failure.. Is improvement easy or starting all over again… ?

Saif : If we look at the change perspective “organisational change” is always a painful process, and the best way to get some sustainable value from change is when you start afresh – i mean starting again is some thing thats’s not really possible – so normally organisations willfully allow things to break apart for some time (keeping in consideration that essentials or survival is not hit). Once the things have broken apart or are breaking apart – churn of good and bad professionals, some loss of business is also a bye product, and one fine day the organisation is ready to start again on the implementation of its new policies , strategies etc. If not done in a well planned and thought out manner, change can also lead to irreversible disasters. Now, we are not sure what is Xerox, trying to do at this phase, may be getting an outsider in form of Rajat, is a way to signal change or may be it’s a normal action to bring in an alternate mindset to look at the Xerox situation. Do share if you have some perspective about the scenario at Xerox.
