Yatra Online Limited, India’s leading corporate travel services provider and one of India’s leading online travel companies, announced the appointment of Dr. Anup Wadhawan to its Board of Directors, with effect from April 1, 2024.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Listing Obligations and Disclosures Requirements) Regulations, 2015, as amended from time to time (“Listing Regulations”), the Board of Directors at its meeting held today i.e. Tuesday, March 19, 2024 which commenced at 12:00 Noon and concluded at 6:55 P.M. has, inter-alia, considered and approved the following appointment of Dr. Anup Wadhawan (DIN: 03565167) based upon the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee as an Additional Non-Executive Director, in the capacity of Independent Director effective April 01, 2024 for a term of three years i.e. from April 01, 2024 to March 31, 2027, subject to the approval of Shareholders of the Company.”
Dr. Wadhawan, belongs to the 1985 batch of the Indian Administrative Services borne on the Uttarakhand cadre. During his career he inter alia held various key positions and offices with the Government of India (“GoI”) and the State Government of Uttarakhand and the State Government of Uttar Pradesh.
He is currently serving as an Independent Director on the Board of various Companies including Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Company Limited, Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited, Cred Avenue Securities Private Limited. He is also acting as an Advisory Board Member of Association of Small & Medium Knowledge Industries (ASMKI), GoodGovern, a corporate governance entity.
Dr. Wadhawan holds Ph.D. in Economics from Duke University (USA), MA in Economics from Delhi School of Economics and BA (Hons) in Economics from Hindu College, Delhi University.
