Edtech firm Cuemath raises $40 million in funding

Education technology startup focused on mathematics, Cuemath has landed $40 million in Series C funding.

The fresh round of funding was led by LGT Lightstone Aspada and Alpha Wave Incubation, managed by Falcon Edge along with participation from existing investors Sequoia Capital, Capital G – Google’s investment arm and Manta Ray.

Earlier, the math learning platform for KG to 10th grade students, has raised $5.5 million in its extended Series B funding round led by Manta Ray Ventures Limited and saw participation from existing investors Capital G by Google and Sequoia India, in December, 2019.

According to Entrackr, the company’s valuation stood at around $170 million, with the fresh round of funding.

The startup claims to have deliver more than 25 million classes to around one lakh students across the UK, the US, Nigeria, India, the UAE, Bangladesh, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Egypt, Nepal and Canada.

Cuemath have over 2500+ centres teaching more than 20,000 students across 80+ cities in India. The company was founded by Manan Khurma in 2011.
