Dalmia Bharat Group, a manufacturing conglomerate dealing in Cement, Sugar & Refractories has appointed Rajiv Bansal as Senior Executive Director in its Managing Director’s office, according to ET report.
Prior to this role, Rajiv Bansal served DXC Technology, where he served as CFO of the company’s Americas business. Prior to DXC, he was CFO of Ola, India’s largest mobility platform and one of the world’s largest ride-hailing companies. Prior to Ola, Bansal was Global CFO of Infosys, India’s second largest IT services company.
Commenting on the appointment, Puneet Dalmia, Managing Director, Dalmia Bharat, said, “Rajiv brings with him rich global experience, proven leadership and deep strategic insights. He will be working very closely with me and Mr Mahendra Singhi – MD & CEO, Dalmia Cement Bharat Ltd to strengthen our existing goals and strategies and in formulating and implementing newer initiatives that align with the long-term goals and vision of the company.”
Rajiv has vast experience of over 26 years across industries like Power Generation, Telecom, IT Services and Internet Startups. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Hons) degree from Calcutta University and is a Chartered Accountant and a Cost Accountant.
Started in 1939, Dalmia Bharat Group’s cement business has grown exponentially since 2006 in terms of capacity and production and the company is a leader in the specialty cements space. The Group also caters to a growing customer base in the refractories business and has forayed into sustainable power/energy.
