Leading corporations and business leaders have announced their support to fight Covid-19 pandemic, and apart from their direct efforts, and work being done by their respective foundations or CSR initiatives, some of them have committed funds to the union and state governments relief funds. Most of these funds are expected to be directed towards putting in place respective preventive measures, procuring PPE’s for the healthcare professionals, as well as undertaking relief measures for the people and communities impacted by the pandemic.

Indiabulls Group
Indiabulls has committed ₹ 21 Crore towards the PM-CARES Fund. Indiabulls is a diversified financial services company with interests in housing finance, consumer finance and personal wealth. The company also has a presence in Real Estate, Pharmaceuticals, Lighting and Infrastructure & Construction Equipment Leasing.
HDFC Group
HDFC Group has committed Rs 150 crore to the PM-CARES fund to support the Government of India for its relief and rehabilitation measures towards the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
TVS Group
TVS Motor Company and its Group Companies TVS Credit Services Ltd, Sundaram-Clayton Ltd., and others have pledged Rs. 25 Crores to the PM’s Relief Fund (PM-CARES) to aid the battle against COVID-19.
Wipro
Wipro, Wipro Enterprises and Azim Premji Foundation have together committed Rs 1,125 crore towards supporting the fight against the novel coronavirus pandemic. As per a company statement – “These resources will help enable the dedicated medical and service fraternity in the frontline of the battle against the pandemic and in mitigating its wide-ranging human impact, particularly on the most disadvantaged of our society.”
Bajaj Group
The Bajaj Group has contributed Rs 100 crore to fight against the coronavirus pandemic that has created havoc across the world. As mentioned in the company’s statement – “Working with the Government and our network of over 200+ NGO partners, we will ensure these resources reach those who need it the most.”
Bharti Enterprises
Bharti Enterprises has earmarked Rs. 100 crore in their fight against Covid-19. “Bharti Enterprises and its companies Bharti Airtel, Bharti Infratel and others are contributing a sum of over Rs 100 crore for India’s fight against COVID-19,” the company said in its press statement.
Godrej Group
Godrej Group has earmarked a fund of Rs 50 crore for community support and relief initiatives in India. This is an initial outlay and it hopes to supplement it over time as the need arises.
Asian Paints
Asian Paints would be contributing Rs. 35 crores towards Covid19 Relief Fund. The contribution will be made to the Central as well as other Emergency Relief State funds to combat Covid-19 pandemic. “As a socially responsible company, Asian Paints is committed to providing necessary support towards various relief measures announced by the government to combat Covid-19” said K.B.S. Anand, Managing Director & CEO, Asian Paints Limited.
Adani Foundation
Adani Foundation has contributed Rs 100 crore to the PM-CARES Fund for the fight against the coronavirus pandemic.
Tata Sons & Tata Trusts
Tata Sons has announced an additional Rs 1,000 crore support towards coronavirus fund. This is in addition to the Rs 500 crore announced by the Tata Trusts. Chairman Tata Sons N Chandrasekaran, in a statement, said, “The current situation in India and other parts of the world owing to the impact of COVID 19 is very worrisome and requires our very best action.”
JSW Group
The JSW Group, the metals and mining conglomerate, is pitching in with its contribution of Rs 100 crore to combat the deadly virus. The funds will be donated to the prime minister’s citizen assistance and relief in emergency situations (PM-CARES) fund. In their statement the company said – ““Each employee of the JSW Group has committed a minimum of a single day’s salary as a donation to the PM–CARES fund. Many employees are voluntarily offering more than this as a contribution.”
Larsen & Toubro
Engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro announced Rs 150 crore donation to the PM-CARES Fund. Apart from this the company has also set aside a sizable amount to support about 1.60 lakh contract workers.
ITC
ITC chairman Sanjiv Puri announced the conglomerate has set up Rs 150 crore COVID-19 contingency fund to provide relief to the most vulnerable section of the society, provide assistance to rural healthcare and even provide protective gear for medical staff.
Kotak Mahindra Bank
Private sector lender Kotak Mahindra Bank and its Managing Director Uday Kotak announced a Rs 60-crore donation. The bank will donate Rs 25 crore to PM Cares Fund and Rs 10 crore to Maharashtra Chief Minister’s Relief Fund, it said in a tweet.
Reliance Industries
Reliance Industries (RIL) has committed a donation of Rs 500 crore to PM-CARES Fund and also provided contributions of Rs 5 crore each to the governments of Maharashtra and Gujarat to support their fights against the COVID-19.
Infosys Foundation
Infosys Foundation, the philanthropic and CSR arm of Infosys, is committing Rs 100 crore to support efforts towards fighting COVID-19 in the country.
ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel India
The Indian arm of the group has committed Rs. 100 crores to fight Covid-19. “Both our operations in India commit equally to a total of Rs 100 crore to PM-CARES for the ongoing relief efforts countrywide,” Lakshmi N Mittal said in a statement.
