Darren McKewen Appointed President of Bloomberg BNA

Bloomberg BNA announced that Darren McKewen has been named President of Bloomberg BNA, succeeding Greg McCaffery, who was named the Chief Executive Officer of Bloomberg Law in September.

McKewen was most recently Vice President and Group Publisher for Bloomberg BNA’s Tax & Accounting Services, a post he assumed in 2005. Prior to Bloomberg’s 2011 acquisition of BNA, he had served on the BNA Board of Directors since 2007.

"Darren brings to the BNA presidency the experience and perspective of someone who has worked in various parts of the company for 25 years, has been running a key business unit, and who has a solid track record of managing and transforming business operations," said Beth Mazzeo, Bloomberg’s Chief Operating Officer. "He led changes that revised product offerings, streamlined workflows, and grew the business. I am confident that Darren will continue that success as he leads Bloomberg BNA in its next steps," Mazzeo said.

McKewen began his BNA career in 1987 as a research analyst, and subsequently worked in a variety of editorial positions as a writer, copy editor, and managing editor. He held several positions working on new product development and product enhancements, leading up to director of product development. Darren also previously served as executive editor and group publisher for the Human Resources & Payroll Publishing Group.

"Bloomberg BNA has thrived by focusing on core values: Keeping the customer at the heart of everything we do, and maintaining world class quality while meeting their need for timely information," McKewen said. "I look forward to working with our company’s talented professionals to maintain those values," he said.
