Some reports indicate that Nitin Paranjpe is slated to move to Unilever Global as Head of Home Care business, and would be reporting to Unilver CEO Paul Polman.
Nitin is a Unilever veteran and had started his career with the company in 1987 as a Management Trainees. He has been through various role, and has also had stints in other geographies. In 2000, he moved to Unilever London, and was involved in a review of the organization structure. During 2001, he was an Executive Assistant to the Chairman and Executive Committee in Unilever London.
He was back to HUL in 2002 as Category Head – Fabric Wash and Regional Brand Director (Asia) for several Laundry and Household Cleaning (HHC) brands. He was appointed as the Executive Director for the Home & Personal Care business in March 2006, and in April 2008 he took over as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of the Company in April 2008.
