Tamilnad Mercantile Bank appoints J Sundaresh Kumar as Chief Compliance Officer

Tamilnad Mercantile Bank Limited (TMB) announced the appointment of J. Sundaresh Kumar as Chief Compliance Officer of the bank, with effect from September 1, 2023.

According to the bank’s exchange filing, “we wish to inform that the Board of Directors of the Bank have approved the appointment of Shri. J. Sundaresh Kumar, General Manager as Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) of the Bank, with effect from September 01, 2023 in place of Shri. S. Pratheep Kumar, Deputy General Manager, in terms of circular issued by the Reserve Bank of India on Compliance functions in banks and Role of Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) – Ref.No.DoS.CO.PPG/SEC 02/11.01.005/2020-21 dated September 11, 2020.”

J. Sundaresh Kumar holds a Master’s degree in Commerce and he is also a Certified Associate of Indian Institute of Banking and Finance (CAIIB). He is an accomplished professional with over 31 years of experience in Banking out of which 7 years as Regional Head. He is a seasoned Banker having expertise in various functional areas such as advance, foreign exchange, recovery and marketing.
