Consumer electronics company Whirlpool of India Limited announced the resignation of Rachna Rahul Kumar as VP – Human Resources of the company, with effect from December 31, 2023. Debopriyo Sengupta, VP – Global Organization, has been named new VP – Human Resources, with effect from January 1, 2024.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosures Requirement) Regulations, 2015, we hereby inform that Rachna Rahul Kumar, VP – Human Resources, has submitted her resignation with effect from close of business hours on December 31, 2023, to pursue other opportunities. A copy of her letter of resignation is enclosed. We further inform that effective January 1, 2024, Debopriyo Sengupta , who is currently VP, Global Organization Effectiveness, will take over the role of Vice President-Human Resources.”
Debopriyo Sengupta has experience of over 15 years and has previously worked with HDFC Life Insurance Company Ltd. He joined Whirlpool in April 2014 and since then has worked in various roles in HR business partnering, talent and total rewards.
He completed his Bachelor’s in 2004 from University of Delhi and Masters in Business Administration in 2008 from Symbiosis Institute of Business Management, Symbiosis International University.
