The Walmart owned company, Flipkart, has announced its plans to hire around 300 graduates. Around 80 of these recruitments will be done from the IITs where placements are currently going on.
The company will hire for both technical and non-technical posts. It will hire software development engineers, data scientists, business analysts, product managers and product designers.
“Our campus hires form a very important part of our talent pool. Similar to previous years, this year, we are engaging with IITs and reputed business schools across the country, to onboard fresh talent,” said Krishna Raghavan, chief people officer at Flipkart.
He said, “Our aim at present is to hire 300 full-time employees from campuses, who will be joining us in 2021. These new hires will comprise 180 engineers”.
The e-commerce company has also been recruiting women engineers through a program called ‘Girls Wanna Code’. According to the company, this year, the program has seen participation from women-only engineering colleges across the country.
