Expertia AI, a deeptech virtual recruitment platform, announced it has raised $1.2 million in a funding round led by marquee investors Chiratae Ventures and Endiya Partners with participation from Entrepreneur First and angel investor Archana Priyadarshini, according to ETtech report.
The startup plans to use the funds for assembling a team of artificial intelligence (AI) researchers and software engineers and creating brand, product awareness in the Indian market.
The HRTech software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform offers hiring solutions to small and medium enterprises (SMEs) by identifying top 10 candidates from a pool of applicants invited from 25 plus job boards.
Founded in 2021 by Akshay Gugnani and Kanishk Shukla, Expertia AI has over 500 companies, 1000 recruiters and over 100k professionals using the platform to automate sourcing of qualified candidates and relevant jobs.
Kanishk Shukla, cofounder and chief executive officer (CEO), said, “Our first solution tailored for the SMEs is an AI powered Virtual Recruiter which uses proprietary algorithms, metadata and platform integrations to organically source and deliver top 10 job applicants within a few hours.”
Akshay Gugnani, cofounder and chief technology officer (CTO) added, “We are targeting 100 Job Board integrations in FY 23 up from 25 currently and improve the accuracy of our Top Talent recommendation up from 75% to 85% by the end of the year surpassing the abilities of a trained recruiter.”
