Data center and cloud services provider RackBank has announced the launch of Mission for Intelligence, Technology, Resilience & AI (M.I.T.R.A.), a recruitment initiative aimed at enabling Indian Army veterans to transition into roles in the AI and data infrastructure sectors.
The program focuses on hiring veterans with experience in IT, strategic operations, logistics, and cybersecurity, and placing them in roles such as datacentre operations, network and surveillance support, AI infrastructure assistance, and risk and compliance functions. Both full-time and short-term contractual roles are on offer, with the latter typically lasting 12 to 18 months.
“The M.I.T.R.A. initiative is inspired by the need for disciplined, mission-ready professionals in critical infrastructure domains such as AI, cybersecurity, and data centers,” said Narendra Sen, Founder & CEO of RackBank. “Through this program, we aim to strengthen India’s digital infrastructure while providing meaningful opportunities for those who have served the nation.”
Anand Dhruv, Head of Human Resources, said the initiative goes beyond hiring. “M.I.T.R.A is not just a hiring initiative, it’s a commitment to inclusive growth… We’ve designed a structured onboarding pathway, including a specialized Tech Readiness Bootcamp, to ensure a smooth transition from service to civilian tech roles.”
The initiative adds to ongoing efforts across industries to create second-career pathways for armed forces personnel, many of whom bring valuable operational, technical, and leadership experience.
