Britannia join hands with Dunzo to deliver essentials

Britannia Industries, an Indian food-products corporation, announced it has partnered with Dunzo, an online delivery platform, to deliver its range of biscuits, croissants, ghee, and dairy whitener, among others to its consumers.

The company has launched a Britannia Essentials store that will be available for users of the Dunzo app. The first batch of deliveries will commence in Bengaluru, while users in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Hyderabad, and Chennai will be able to avail the products soon, the company said in a statement.

These products will be available at Britannia’s distribution centers and Dunzo will source them from this point of sale to ensure proper handling of goods and enable better availability of these products across cities, Britannia said in the statement.

“During this unprecedented time, it is critical for us to maintain a continuous supply of our products which are daily staples in millions of Indian households. With a significant rise in demand for at-home delivery, we are happy to leverage Dunzo’s innovative and most advanced technology platform, to enable seamless delivery of products every day,” said Varun Berry, managing director, Britannia Industries.

Berry said the company’s teams are working round-the-clock to respond to the current situation and innovating to get these products to reach homes in a safe manner.
