Cognizant set to acquire digital marketing consultancy firm Lev

IT services giant Cognizant recently said that it has signed an agreement to acquire digital marketing consultancy firm Lev. However, the financial details of the transaction have been kept undisclosed yet.

According to a statement by Cognizant, “Lev helps businesses simplify and modernize their marketing campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud to provide data-driven insight and personalization across the customer journey, and ultimately drive revenue.”

It is being expected that the acquisition of Lev will help Cognizant in expanding its Salesforce practice. The deal is said to be closed in the first quarter of 2020.

US-based Lev specializes in providing strategic consulting, architecture design, technical optimization and application integration services, the statement said, adding its clients include brands in healthcare, life sciences, entertainment, technology, utilities, financial services, and education, among other industries.

The Indianapolis-based consulting company was founded in 2006 and currently has a workforce of about 200 employees.

Talking about the acquisition, Greg Hyttenrauch, President, Digital Systems and Technology, Cognizant said, “In this unprecedented time of uncertainty, we remain committed to our client and partner-focused strategy, investing in capabilities that help clients become fully digital, data-enabled, customer-centric organizations. We continue to significantly invest in the cloud as one of our strategic priorities.
