Fortis Healthcare Limited has appointed Sim Heng Joo Joe (Joe) as an additional director (Non-Executive and Non-Independent) of the Company. He will hold the office up to the next Annual General Meeting and will be regularized subject to the approval of the shareholders.
Joe is presently the Chief Executive Officer (CEO of Malaysia Operations Division, for Parkway Pantai’s integrated healthcare businesses in Malaysia. The healthcare business includes a network of 15 Gleneagles and Pantai hospitals and ancillary services such as Pantai Integrated Rehab and Pantai Premier Pathology.
Prior to joining Parkway Pantai in June 2017, he was Group Deputy Chief Executive of National University Healthcare System in Singapore, where he had also served as COO (Chief Operating Officer) and CEO of National University Hospital. Joe began his career with the Singapore Administrative Service, building up a robust portfolio at the Ministry of Finance, Community Development Council and Ministry of Defence. He holds a Master in Public Administration from Harvard University.
