Mamaearth is looking to hire 200 people this year while it crosses Rs 500 Crore revenue run rate.

“So, right now, we are about 300 people and by the end of this year, we’ll be at about 500 people. Of these, 100 people will be a part of the offline retail team and the others will be spread over other functions — growth team, D2C team, customer service, marketing team, and others,” Varun Alagh, Consumer Co-founder and CEO of Honasa – which runs personal care brand Mamaearth, told PTI.

He added, “Our next ambitious milestone would be Rs 1,000 crore but let us see when we are able to hit that. The growth last year was 400 percent-plus…Rs 1,000 crore is our next milestone.”

Founded in 2016 by Ghazal Alagh and Varun Alagh, Mamaearth has raised Rs 130 crore in early 2020 which was led by Sequoia India, along with Fireside Ventures, Stellaris Venture Partners, and Sharp Ventures.
