For the fourth consecutive year, Deloitte is among the top ten on Working Mother magazine’s "100 Best Companies for Working Mothers" list.  The ranking celebrates organizations that set the standard for programs and initiatives responding to the challenges working mothers face, thereby cultivating an engaged, productive workplace.

“Recognition from Working Mother is a great honor. As a working “new mom” myself, I personally appreciate the unique situations that follow women from the home to the workplace and back again,” said Jennifer Steinmann, chief talent officer, Deloitte LLP. “Making the top ten for the fourth year in a row is a testament to our ongoing efforts to aid all our people in achieving work-life harmony as we foster an environment where leaders thrive.”

Among the many Deloitte initiatives noted were its Emerging Leaders Development Program (ELDP), designed to help prep high-performing managers for career advancement; Deloitte’s award-winning Women’s Initiative (WIN), helping to advance women in the workplace for nearly 20 years; and providing multiple options at the project team level that offer work flexibility while delivering high client quality. Additionally, Deloitte has invested in learning and development opportunities within the organization through the creation of its leadership development center, Deloitte University, which opened in 2011. The 107-acre facility offers all employees, including working mothers, the ability to absorb new skills for continued career growth.

“Working mothers are among our most valued colleagues, adding respected perspectives that are appreciated within Deloitte and by our clients,” said Deborah DeHaas, chief inclusion officer, Deloitte LLP. “The progress made in support of working mothers benefits our entire organization, lifting everyone and contributing to an inclusive culture that makes all of us better.”

Working Mother chooses its 100 Best Companies by judging them in response to questions addressing such issues as the access and usage of flexible work arrangements, parental leave, childcare, health and wellness support and the advancement of women to all levels of management.

For the seventh consecutive time, Deloitte was among the top ten on Working Mother’s "Best Companies for Multicultural Women” list.

“This year’s 100 Best Companies are leading the way for the rest of the nation,” said Carol Evans, president, Working Mother Media.  “They have created not only essential benefits, like flexible work options and telecommuting, but have also shown their commitment in new ways like elder care referral and legal assistance to help busy parents manage their personal lives as well as their careers. Deloitte can be proud of the example they set for others to follow.”
