Former Emami President-IT, Venkata Rao Damera, has joined Adani Wilmar as Chief Information Officer. Prior to that, Damera served in companies like Godfrey Phillips India, ITC Ltd., and Murugappa Group.
In this new role, Damera will be leading the technology vertical and will strategically manage IT to benefit the business. He is a results-oriented professional with the ability to conceptualise and deliver technology solutions in line with organisational needs.
Damera has over 22 years of experience working in diversified industries and verticals. He has interests in new-age technologies, digital transformation, shared services model, and more. He has also worked on several innovative projects in these areas.
Damera holds a Master’s degree in Computer Applications from Osmania University, and a BSc in Computer Science from Andhra University.
