
Aequs Limited, a leading integrated manufacturing platform serving the aerospace and consumer sectors, has appointed Kapil Mahajan as its new Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO).
In his new role, Kapil will oversee human resource strategy and operations across all business divisions of Aequs. He will be tasked with driving key people initiatives aimed at building a high-performance culture and strengthening the company’s talent ecosystem.
Kapil brings with him nearly two decades of HR leadership experience across diverse industries. His previous stints include senior roles at Tata Advanced Systems, Tata Teleservices, Pfizer, Aditya Birla Group, and Reliance Communications. Most recently, at Tata Advanced Systems, he led Business HR and Business Development for the Aerostructures and Aero Engines divisions, with a focus on HR transformation and business partnering.
Known for his hands-on approach to people strategy, Kapil has spearheaded several organizational development initiatives, talent interventions, and employer branding programs. He has also guided companies through Best Employer Surveys and large-scale HR capability building.
At Aequs, his responsibilities will include developing robust HR systems across areas such as talent acquisition, learning and development, total rewards, leadership development, employee wellness, and diversity and inclusion. His mission: to align people practices with business goals while fostering a trust-based, tech-enabled culture.
An alumnus of XLRI Jamshedpur, Kapil holds multiple certifications in HR assessments and is a recognized speaker and mentor in the HR community. He is also a passionate advocate of using technology to unlock human potential and is known for his work on talent density, AI in HR, and coaching.
