AIFI elects Vikas Bajaj as President, Yash Jinendra Munot named new VP

The Association of Indian Forging Industry (AIFI) has announced the appointment of Vikas Bajaj as its new President for the term 2020-22. Yash Jinendra Munot was appointed the new Vice President, becoming the youngest VP elected by the AIFI.

Most recently, Bajaj served as Vice President of AIFI. Vikas Bajaj succeeds S Muralishankar, who held the position as President from 2017 to 2020. 

Vikas Bajaj has over 27 years of professional experience in general management, strategic management and business leadership. He is Managing Director & CEO of Bajaj Motors. He is also associated in the operations and activities of Microtek Forgings, a unit of Bajaj Motors. 

Vikas Bajaj holds a BE degree in Production Engineering and has done MBA in Operational Management from Management Development Institute, Gurgaon.

In his new role as the President of AIFI, Vikas Bajaj will be responsible for strengthening the member base, driving strategic alliances and representing AIFI with various government bodies and other stakeholders. AIFI currently has over 250 members, who command a large market share of the total production of the Indian forging industry.

Yash Munot is CEO at Varsha Forgings and Managing Director at KCTR Varsha Automotive. He spearheaded and pioneered the launch of sealed ball joint technology in India. 

Munot holds a BA (hons) in finance and marketing from Regents Business School, London, and a leadership Degree from London Business School.

In his new role as the VP of AIFI, Munot aspires to build a healthy and growing platform for learning and growth of the industry.
