ShareChat, a social networking and regional content platform, has appointed Ajit Varghese as Chief Commercial Officer. Varghese will report to Farid Ahsan, COO and co-founder at ShareChat.
In this new role, Varghese will be pivotal in expanding and strengthening the platform’s revenue efforts, and building a robust monetisation approach with strategic content partnership, a statement said.
Varghese will also spearhead ShareChat’s marketing functions to be inclined towards brand elevation, aligned with business centricity, it added.
Varghese has vast experience of over 20+ years in leading large-scale business transformations, building diverse and successful businesses around creative, digital, data, content, partnerships and experience apart from the media agency.
Varghese served as Global President in WPP. Prior to that, he held the role of CEO Asia Pacific in Maxus and as COO in Madison World.
