Ampere Electric appoints Roy Kurian as COO of 2W & 3W business

Ampere Electric, a wholly-owned electric mobility subsidiary of Greaves Cotton Ltd has appointed Roy Kurian as Chief Operating Officer (COO). 

In his new role, Roy will be heading the E-mobility business of two-wheelers and three-wheelers, with immediate effect.

Prior to this role, Roy was Sales and Marketing Specialist at an EV startup Tork Motors. Prior to that, Roy served Yamaha Motors as SVP, where he was responsible for providing strategic direction to the company and driving growth for the Indian market.

The company said Roy’s rich industry experience, deep domain knowledge, the strategic direction will help in accelerating growth for Ampere Electric.

Speaking on the appointment, Nagesh Basavanhalli, Group CEO and MD, Greaves Cotton, said, “Roy Kurian has joined us to drive next level of growth & further boost our leadership position in the EV segment. We are delighted to have him on board. With his expertise and rich experience, Roy will help us to strengthen Ampere’s leadership position in the country.”
