Anil Menon has joined LuLu Group India as the Head Of Information Technology. Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, LuLu Group is an Indian-owned multinational conglomerate that operates in the retail business.
Prior to this role, Menon served as General Manager – IT innovation at Tata Starbucks & Head –IT, Trent Hypermarket Pvt. Ltd. He has worked extensively on the company’s digital transformational projects, Cloud & Mobility Platforms, Retail Analytics, Enterprise systems and Security & Information management systems.
Prior to Trent Hypermarket, Menon worked with Cybage Software as a Solution Architect in the retail CoE focusing on digital and e-commerce solutions. He has also worked with companies such as Future Group, Wadhwan Retail and Zensar Technologies.
“I am excited to join the company as Head-IT. In this new role, I will be responsible for driving the phygital (Digital + Physical) vision of the conglomerate in India. Managing basic IT functions, IT strategy, technology growth enablers are other key areas under my leadership. In my past experience at Starbucks, I have sharpened my skills to enhance customer experience with new technologies. Understanding customer’s buying behavior, feedback, likes, and dislikes are very important. My key strategy will be focussed on making seamless, contactless, and personalised customer experience across channels,” Menon told ETCIO.
