Aon India has named industry veteran Sushant Sarin as its new Head of Strategy and Commercial Risk Solutions. Sarin, who will be based in Mumbai, will report directly to Rishi Mehra, CEO of Aon India, and join the company’s India Leadership Team.
In his new role, Sarin will be responsible for driving Aon’s commercial risk strategy and execution in India, with a focus on delivering integrated risk solutions across key industries. He will also lead strategic initiatives that align with the firm’s global priorities and long-term growth plans in the region.
“Sushant brings deep industry knowledge, strategic foresight, and a proven track record of building high-performing teams and businesses,” said Mehra. “His business acumen and leadership will be instrumental in driving our India business forward and delivering better outcomes for our clients.”
Sarin brings over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector. Before joining Aon, he was President at Tata AIG General Insurance, where he oversaw large-scale operations, managed reinsurance portfolios exceeding $1.75 billion in gross written premium, and led efforts across underwriting, distribution, and client engagement.
Recognized as a Fellow of the Insurance Institute of India, Sarin is known for his entrepreneurial approach and focus on sustainable growth.
