BEML appoints Gunaseelan Jawahar as Director (Human Resources)

Bharat Earth Movers Limited (BEML) Limited, a Schedule ‘A’ Company under the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India, announced the appointment of Gunaseelan Jawahar as Director (Human Resources), with effect from January 11, 2023.

According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Article 97 of the Articles of Association of the Company. the President of India has appointed Dr. Gunaseelan Jawahar, as Director (Human Resources) of BEML Limited. He assumed the charge of the post on Wednesday. 11.01.2023.”

Dr. Gunaseelan Jawahar is holding the degrees of BBA. MBA(HR ), BL and PhD. Before joining BEML, he worked as Executive Director in Power Finance Corporation at New Delhi. Prior to that he worked in NHPC and Power Grid Corporation of India. He has a rich & varied experience of 33 years in Public Sector with wide exposure in all aspects of Managing Human Resources, Devised Innovative Polices and Strategies, Evolving performance management System including reward and recognition system. Managed and implemented the scheme for Performance Related Pay. Managing Employee relations. revision of Pay and compensation management for all levels of employees. Conducted HR audit for the first time in the corporation and suggestions given for the improvement of HR function as a whole. designed and conducted training and development programmes for all the employees. has been a faculty and facilitator on a Programme titled ‘Train the Trainer’, ‘Emotional Intelligence’ . ‘ Negotiation and conflict resolution”, Redressal of employee grievances, compliance of labour laws, Management of Contract employees and outsourced staff, etc.
