Bharat Electronics Limited announced the appointment of Bhanu Prakash Srivastava as Director (Other Units), with effect from April 20, 2022.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30(2) of SEBI (LODR) Regulations, 2015 we wish to inform that Ministry of Defence, Government of India vide its letter no.DDP-E0032/4/2020-D(BEL) dated 201h April, 2022 appointed Shri Bhanu Prakash Srivastava (DIN: 09578183) as Director (Other Units) on the Board of BEL.”
Bhanu Prakash Srivastava holds a degree in Bachelor of Technology (Mechanical Engineering) and Master of Business Administration. He joined BEL in August 1986 and has a rich experience of around thirty-six (36) years in various functions of Bharat Electronics Limited for example Manufacturing, Project Management, Quality Management, Materials Management, Design & Development and Product Support along with good understanding of defence business and related processes like manufacturing, Trial & Evaluation of equipments, Customer Inspection and Clearance and After Sales Service & Support, the statement said.
Bhanu Prakash Srivastava during his long association with BEL in various Senior Management positions had a major contribution in the areas of Radio & Data equipment, Military and Telecom Switching Equipment, C4I System for Civil & Military applications, Radars for Army, Airforce & Navy, Sonars, Fire Control Systems & Communication systems for Navy, Surface to Air Missile project for Naval Ships etc. and had substantially contributed towards sustained business growth & profitability in those areas, according to the company’s statement.
He was associated with Advanced Defence Systems-Navy (ADSN) division as GM (ADSN) since May, 2021 before his taking over as Director (Other Units) w.e.f 20th April, 2022, a statement said.
