Bhavesh Gandhi resigns as CIO of Piramal Enterprises’ pharma division

Bhavesh Gandhi, CIO-Pharma, Piramal Enterprises has resigned from the role and moved on after serving a stint of 5 years at the conglomerate. Gandhi has joined Aarti Industries as SVP, Chief Digital & Information Officer.

In his new role, Gandhi will lead the technology and digital teams across manufacturing units. He will look at the potential of several digital technologies for new use cases and value addition to the business.

Maharashtra-headquartered Aarti Industries is an Indian manufacturer of specialty chemicals and pharmaceuticals. It produces chemicals that are used in the downstream manufacture of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, polymers, additives, surfactants, pigments, dyes, etc. The company has 16 manufacturing units, mostly located in close proximity to the large ports of western India.

Prior to joining Aarti Industries, Gandhi has led the technology vertical of the pharma division of Piramal Enterprises as its CIO. He has over 20 years of experience in managing IT and digital transformation of various global companies such as Sun Pharma, IBM, and Cox & Kings. Under his leadership, these companies have implemented several IT projects such as SAP implementation, RPA, Smart Manufacturing, and many more which have contributed to their top and bottom lines.
