Bikayi, India’s leading e-commerce enabler that helps business owners scale their online businesses, has hired Upendra Dev Singh as the Head of Engineering.
The announcement closely follows the launch of their new marketing platform BIK.ai which was unveiled last month. Upendra, who was the VP of Engineering at ixigo previously, spearheaded the designing, developing, and implementation of the new project soon after his appointment, the statement said.
Founded in 2019, Bikayi has gained a foothold in the e-commerce sector and plans to make its presence known internationally by tapping into global D2C brands. As it looks to make a global appearance in the next couple of years, Upendra will play a pivotal role in the development and implementation of innovative technological solutions to take the brand to the next level, according to the statement.
Commenting on the hiring, Sonakshi Nathani, CEO and Co-founder, Bikayi said, “As a tech-enabled platform, we solve every problem using a product-first way of thinking. A seasoned professional in the engineering ecosystem, Upendra has previously led multiple projects at leading companies such as ixigo and Myntra Jabong over a career spanning 15 years. As Vice President of Engineering at ixigo, he helped double the team size despite the Covid-19 pandemic and drove the restructuring of technical and product teams to improve productivity and focus on collective outcomes and goals.
