Boeing has appointed Alay Parikh as Director of Business Development for its Defense and Services operations in India, as the aerospace major continues to sharpen its focus on one of its largest international defence markets.

Parikh steps into the role previously held by Alain Garcia, who has taken up a new position with the company in South Korea. In his new role, Parikh will be tasked with expanding business opportunities, managing key defence relationships, and supporting Boeing’s portfolio of platforms and services in the Indian market. He will report to Randy Rotte, Senior Director of International Business Development.
A Boeing veteran with nearly 20 years of experience, Parikh has worked across the company’s global defense and supply chain functions. He most recently led sustainment efforts for Boeing Global Services in Singapore, supporting platforms like the Apache, Chinook, and F-15. His previous roles have included stints in strategic supplier engagement, offset programs, and supply chain architecture initiatives focused on Asia and emerging markets.
“Alay’s rich experience across defense systems and working with global customers supports Boeing’s commitment to long-term growth in India,” said Salil Gupte, President of Boeing India and South Asia. “As we deepen our engagement in the region, his background and familiarity with our operations will play a critical role in advancing our priorities.”
Parikh said he looked forward to contributing to India’s evolving defence ecosystem. “As India’s defence landscape continues to evolve, I look forward to supporting our customers with advanced capabilities and sustainment solutions that align with their operational goals and contribute to India’s self-reliance ambitions,” he said.
India operates a wide range of Boeing defence platforms, including C-17 strategic airlifters, AH-64 Apache attack helicopters, CH-47 Chinooks, and P-8I maritime surveillance aircraft. The company’s local entity, Boeing India Defense & Services, provides maintenance and lifecycle solutions to government and military clients. Boeing also works with over 300 suppliers in India and sources over $1.25 billion annually from the country.
