BPCL appoints Yatinder Prasad to its Board

Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited, a PSU under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, announced the appointment of Yatinder Prasad as Government Nominee Director on the company’s Board, with effect from October 29, 2022.

According to the company’s exchange filing, “we hereby inform you that in terms of communication received from Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas, Govt. of India, the Board of Directors has appointed Smt. Yatinder Prasad, JS&FA, Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas as Government Nominee Director, with effect from 29.10.2022.”

Yatinder Prasad is a senior IA&AS officer from 1993 Batch. She has done B.A., L.L.B., L.L.M. C.I.A., P.G.D.B.A (Finance). She has worked on CSS Deputation at Director Level from June 2009 to June 2014 and handled the charge of Director (Storage) in the Department of Food and Public Distribution and Director (Finance and Administration) Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority.

She has held several responsibilities in Government of India including responsibilities of Budget Plan Funds. She has led the Indian team of Comptroller & Auditor General of India for conducting audit of Private Fundraising and Partnerships, UNICEF, Geneva. She has also led the team and carried out Audit Risk Assessment of UNICEF Headquarters, New York. She has also worked as Director General in the office of Comptroller & Auditor General of India from October 2014 to July 2019 and handled all the Audit Reports of the various States.
