Centene strengthens its leadership team

Centene Corporation, a Fortune 100 company, announced the appointment of Chris Koster to Senior Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel, effective February 19, 2020.

Koster will oversee all legal functions for the company, reporting directly to Chairman, President and CEO Michael F. Neidorff. Koster joined Centene in 2017 as Senior Vice President, Corporate Services. Prior to joining Centene, Koster served as Missouri Attorney General for eight years. Before he was elected Attorney General, he served in the Missouri Senate for four years, and Prosecuting Attorney in Cass County for 10 years.

“Chris has been an instrumental part of our senior team during a pivotal time of growth. His depth of experience in legal services both in the private and public sector will continue to be an asset to our company as we continue to grow and evolve,” said Neidorff.

Keith Williamson, former Secretary and General Counsel, has been appointed President of the Centene Charitable Foundation. Since joining Centene in 2006, Williamson has overseen all legal functions for the enterprise, aiding in the company’s extensive growth and expansion. He is very active in the St. Louis community, including serving as chairman of the board of the Urban League of Metropolitan St. Louis, serving on the board of the St. Louis Art Museum, helping to found the KIPP charter school network and working with the Opportunity Trust, which seeks to improve the St. Louis public education system.

“I thank Keith for his 13 years as General Counsel and look forward to his new role with the Foundation to help further our commitment to the communities we serve,” said Neidorff.
