According to the company’s exchange filing, “Pursuant to Regulation 30 read with Schedule III of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, this is to inform you that Mr. Binu Varghese has been appointed as Senior Management Personnel of the Company with effect from 13th September, 2023.”
Dr. Binu Varghese is a 1999 year qualified lawyer from University of Kerala. He holds a Ph.D and an M.Phil in International Law from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He holds over 24 years of corporate, legal practice, and research experience, specializing in commercial law and corporate issues including contracting, dispute resolution, data privacy matters etc. He holds multiple certifications in privacy culture, contracting skills etc.
Previously he has worked with prominent IT and telecom companies, such as Patni Computer Systems Ltd., Bharti Enterprises Ltd. and Bharti Infratel Ltd., where he handled complex and diverse legal matters, such as commercial contracting, real estate, HR, dispute resolution etc.
His last stint was with One97 Communications Ltd., the parent company of Paytm, as Vice- President-Legal. At One97 he was leading the legal transactions and issues for various business lines such as payments, e-commerce, gaming, fintech services such as digital lending, their related regulatory compliance, IP matters etc.
