Engineers India Limited announced the appointment of R. K. Sabharwal as Director (Commercial), effective September 29, 2021.
According to the Company’s exchange filing, “This is to inform that Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas vide letter No. C-31018/2/2015- PNG (13468) dated 26.07.2021 (received on 13.09.2021, a copy of which is enclosed herewith) has communicated that Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal for extension of tensure of Shri R. K. Sabharwal, Director (Commercial), Ell for a period w.e.f. 27.09.2021 till 31.05.2022 i.e., the date of his superannuation, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.”
Sabharwal has more than 36 years of experience in various positions in all areas of commercial function since 1983. He has hands on experience in international and domestic commercial domain. His expertise covers various aspects of International trade, EXIM procedures, taxation, legal aspects etc. He has proven competence in systems development. His job responsibilities include establishing fair and transparent systems, planning manpower allocation, finalizing e-enabling strategies including e-procurement, evaluation techniques, negotiation methodologies and interface management, development of suitable commercial procedures, finalization of detailed contractual terms for domestic and global commerce.
Sabharwal was also posted in Dubai for independently leading entire commercial function for Gasoline Facilities Project of Iso Octane Company, Dubai during 1998 – 1999. He has successfully demonstrated leadership skills over the years. He has successfully managed various functions including day-to-day operations under complex management situations. He was also actively involved with IT Applications in various business processes in the company and has been spearheading IT applications in Commercial Function for the last several years.
Sabharwal is a Member of All India Management Association, Indian Institute of Materials Management and Indian Institute of Foreign Trade.
