Fintech firm Revolut appoints Paroma Chatterjee as India CEO

UK-based Fintech firm Revolut has appointed Paroma Chatterjee as India CEO as part of its expansion plan in the country.

Prior to this, Chatterjee was the Chief Business Officer at Lendingkart. She has also held several senior executive positions at Flipkart, Via.com and Airtel Money.

“We will build the bank of the future. I look forward to building an exceptionally talented team and working with them, as we continue to develop superlative financial solutions for millions of consumers in India,” she said.

Revolut is claiming to build the world’s first global financial superapp. In 2015, Revolut launched in the UK offering money transfer and exchange. Today, 15 million customers around the world use dozens of Revolut’s innovative products to make more than 100 million transactions a month, according to the platform.

Across its personal and business accounts, it helps customers improve their financial health, give them more control, and connect people across the world.
