Ford India elevates Kapil Sharma as GM – Consumer Marketing

Ford India has appointed Kapil Sharma as the general manager – consumer marketing, according to ETBrandEquity report. Most recently, Sharma served as Head of Communications and CSR for Ford India. 

In this expanded role, Sharma will be responsible for steering the Ford Brand and business forward with integrated marketing and communications efforts. He will report directly to Rahul Gautam – vice president, marketing and Anurag Mehrotra – president and managing director, Ford India along with IMG Comms leader, Sinead Phipps.

Sharma will take over his new role on 1st June 2021. He joined Ford India in September 2013 as manager, corporate communications. He has previously worked with BMW India as manager- press and corporate affairs and with Genesis Burson Marsteller as associate partner.

Sharma holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Communication Management, Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) from National Institute of Advertising [NiA].
