Fortis Group CEO Vishal Bali quits

Fortis Healthcare Ltd has announced that Vishal Bali, Group CEO, Fortis Healthcare Limited has resigned from the services of the Company. The Company has accepted his resignation and Bali will remain with the Company till end March 2014, to enable a smooth transition.

A statement by Vishal Bali says – “After having spent nearly two and a half decades in the sector, I now feel the desire to do something new and entrepreneurial in healthcare.”

Malvinder Singh, Executive Chairman and Shivinder Singh, Executive Vice Chairman, Fortis Healthcare Limited, said, “Vishal  has served the company with commitment and passion. We truly appreciate all his efforts and respect his desire to pursue newer goals. We wish him all success in his future endeavours.”    

Prior to Joining Fortis, Vishal was the CEO for Wockhardt Hospitals. Earlier in 2009 Fortis had acquired 9 hospitals from Wockhardt. Vishal has a Bachelors in Science and Masters in Business Administration from Bombay University. He has also done an advance program in hospital management from Boston.
