Google has appointed Sanjay Gupta as Country Manager & VP of Sales & Operations, for India region. Mr Gupta takes over from Rajan Anandan, who left Google in April.
Mr Gupta was former managing director of Star and Disney India before being appointed as Country Manager. His role will be contributing to Google’s efforts to expand the internet ecosystem in the country. He will take on the role early next year, and will work with the teams based in Gurugram, Hyderabad and Bengaluru
In a media statement Sanjay told that – “I am delighted to take on the challenge of leading and shaping Google’s charter in India. It is an exciting opportunity to leverage the power of technology.”
Sanjay Gupta is an engineer from Delhi College of Engineering and completed post-graduate from IIM Kolkata. Apart from Star and Disney, he has also worked at Hindustan Unilever and Bharti Airtel earlier.
