Hindustan Media Ventures Limited announced the appointment of Sameer Singh as an Additional Director to its Board, effective December 28, 2021.
According to the company’s exchange filing, “the Board of Directors, in compliance with the applicable provisions of the Companies Act, 2013 and SEBI LODR, have on 28th December, 2021, approved the appointment of Shri Sameer Singh (DIN: 08138465), as Additional Director (Independent) w.e.f. 28 th December, 2021 to hold office upto the date of ensuing Annual General Meeting of the Company.”
Sameer Singh, an alumnus of IIM Calcutta, is the Head of Global Business Solutions for Asia Pacific at ByteDances. He is responsible for leading the Advertising, Sales and Marketing strategies across all ad. products in Asia Pacific.
In a career spanning over 30 years, he has been at the forefront of innovative marketing and advertising solutions. He most recently spearheaded the operations at GroupM as the Chief Executive Officer – South Asia providing competitive advantage with digital leadership and content to clients.
Prior to GroupM, he has worked at Google, GSK, Procter & Gamble and IPG. He has lived and worked in cities including Palo Alto, Boston, London, Dubai, Guangzhou and New Delhi. He is currently serving as Independent Director on the Board of Next Mediaworks Limited and Next Radio Limited, fellow subsidiary companies.
